Team

A team that spans the whole distance, from the science to the boardroom.

Deep diagnostics science, IVD operations, commercial leadership and clinical insight, in one small, focused group.

Leadership

Sean Macfarlane

Sean Macfarlane

Founder & CEO

Sean founded Biomarx to make personalised medicine equitable — to take genomic diagnostics out of the specialist lab and into everyday care. A molecular diagnostics scientist by background, he spent years at Randox and in clinical laboratories before building Biomarx around a single conviction: that early, accurate cancer detection shouldn't depend on where you live or what you can pay. Biomarx was named an InterTradeIreland Seedcorn DeepTech regional winner (2025). Based in Belfast and Glasgow.

Prof. Damion Corrigan

Prof. Damion Corrigan

Damion is a leading authority in clinical electrochemical biosensing and an experienced academic founder — LGC Professor at the University of Strathclyde, and founder or scientific lead of multiple diagnostics ventures. He specialises in taking diagnostic technologies from early-stage research through to real-world deployment, at the interface of electrochemistry, assay development and device engineering. He is the scientific lead of Biomarx.
